The Lake Golden Oak Lake is a beautiful, unspoilt water covering 5 acres. The original river runs through the centre, and the rock/ gravel bed can still be seen. The depth varies from a couple of feet to aprox 6 to 7 mtrs. As well as being river fed, there are several springs that contribute to it. It has been in the same family for the last 45 years and has been only lightly fished making it an excellent location to come and test your skills!
It enjoys a secluded position, set in our own farm land, and gives you the opportunity of some very exclusive fishing. We have a maximum of 4 anglers at any time making the lake exclusively yours for your stay.
The Fish - The real stars of the show! We restocked the lake about 3 years ago, introducing mirrors to complement the existing stock. These fish put up an incredible fight when hooked, and are quite a challenge for the most experienced angler! Roach, perch, some really large pike, and other species inhabit the lake, giving a really good balance.
