This exclusive holiday venue After fishing many and varied French fisheries usually from a bivvy, using all kinds of rods, and rigs, coarse-fishing poles, baits, boilies, pellets and ground baits, in swims all over France, I realised there were fishery's that had big carp and cats, but very few carping or catfish angling waters which had quality rental holiday accommodation for the angler. Our Carp and Catfish fishing holidays are designed to bring you French Carp fishing as it should be; the stock in our lakes are not recently introduced, they have matured and bred in our waters for the last 12 years. We don't know the exact weight and name of the biggest fish because since the initial stocking the lakes have never been drained. We believe this is real Carp fishing, that preserves the mystery that our sport is dependent upon. We do not  provide anglers with a 'shopping list' of Carp available, we simply wish you the best of luck  in catching your dream fish - all we know is that they are out there and getting bigger every year! France has many waterways and lakes and is great place to go for a fishing holiday. Natural lakes are outnumbered by man made lakes of which there are literally hundreds, some created to provide irrigation and drinking water or power as part of a hydro electric scheme. Others have formed from old sand and gravel pits which were excavated to provide sand for the network of motorways. Carp fishing is very popular in France, it is almost impossible to pick up an angling magazine without seeing pictures and articles about massive French Carp. As well as the lakes previously mentioned, many of the old Chateaux have their own lakes and rivers and although some are still in private ownership many are now in public or club ownership. These lakes are rarely emptied and thus the potential for big fish is there for the taking. It is fair to assume that most if not all of the French lakes hold carp, but it is not necessarily the case that they will all be huge or that the biggest lakes will hold the biggest fish. It depends on the stock density and the natural food available. If you are staying at a French Connections property with its own private Carp lake you will probably not need a license, but do check with the owner. You will however need to buy a license to fish for Carp if you plan to fish in publicly owned lakes and stretches of river. There are a number offish in the 35lb region and stocks of even larger fish on their way. The Lake...Golden Oak Lake is beautiful unspoilt water. This secluded lake with its purpose built swims is limited to a maximum of 5 people fishing at any one time. This coupled with the fact that the lake has only recently been opened to the public gives you a chance to experience some of the most exclusive fishing.   Finding us couldn't be easier. France has excellent roads that are all well signposted, even in the country.  If you chose to fly to Limoges, you will be pleasantly surprised. This new & modern airport is served by Flybe and Ryanair, both offering an excellent service from the U.K. Car hire can be arranged when you book your flight. Travel time from Southampton is just over an hour. We are just 40 mins drive from Limoges airport. The route is really easy, we will give you full directions with your conformation.  By ferry, the route takes you through some fantastic scenery. You have several options; why not try an overnight sailing (Portsmouth to St Marlo) and take a slow drive down, after a good nights sleep. Further south, we are served by Bergerac airport. It has everything you need for that total carp fishing experience.  This newly opened lake has never previously been available to the public, but with carp in the region of 35lbs in abundance is sure to make for very rewarding fishing.  This is your chance to make use of our amazing opening year prices and be one of the first people to fish this exclusive lake. Bells of Hythe is situated in the south of England on the edge of the New Forest in Hampshire. Situated in Hythe, which is on the south coast, giving access directly to the solent. To find us from outside the area; Exit the M27 at junction 2 and follow the signs for Fawley. This will bring you down the A326. After traveling a short while of this road signs for Hythe will appear. Follow these in to Hythe. Once in Hythe we can be found on the main road (New Road) and we are situated next to a large car park.
